A 20-year-old girl in Orerokpe, Delta State has been arrested by the police for allegedly stabbing her lover to death.
According to the police boss, Mr. Ikechukwu Aduba, the incident occurred in Orerokpe on Thursday while the victim’s mother immediately alerted the police.
Reports had it that the victim’s mother visited the scene of the incident and discovered the lifeless body of her son with several lacerations.
The suspect, simply identified as Silva, a seamstress, was said to have been angered by the deceased alleged infidelity. A prelude to the incident had it that Silva repeatedly complain led about her lover’s infidelity.
Police spokesperson in the state, Charles Muka, confirmed that the body of the victim had been deposited at Orerokpe General Hospital mortuary while the suspect is helping the police in their investigations.
